Check out Jordans blog!

This is where he decided to take a nap today.

He was on the pillows but rolled down and fell right asleep.

This is the hat daddy bought him. See Jordan it's hard not buying him something every time you go to the store.

Parker and Daddy took a nap yesterday together in our bed. We skipped out on church cause we all had the stomach flu.

They are so cute aren't they. Ok I had better explain the title. Jordan has video of Pj laughing. It is so cute. And just so you all know the noise that Jordan is making is he is kissing Pj's feet. Just thought I would share some fun pics. I got some gardening done today. Bugs have been attacking most of our plants so I got some stuff to kill them plus some miricale grow. I took out some of the pumpkin plants. Just not enough space for them all but I wanted them to grow out a bit to see which ones were going to be the best. I go my tomato plants all tied to a pole so they don't tough the ground. I couldn't find any cages. But I need like two more poles. Oh well another day. I also put some mulch out. So hopefully it will help keep the moisture in. We will see. Have a great day.

Check out my river dancer! If you have that song turn it on as you watch it..

Picture over load!

a close up of my favorite boy!

I think Jordan took this one. But if you look closely he is wearing an outfit my mom bought him the other day.

Happy fathers day!

I really like this one. What a silly butt!

Another close up of the cutest boy ever!

I wrapped him up in this blanket and all you could see was his feet moving around it was pretty funny. He couldn't figure out how to get it off cause he was use to just moving the blanket down but this one required a little more thought. Which he wasn't willing to do. So he just kicked his feet around and eventually whined about it. It was a lot of fun though.

Ok here is another article on gardening. This one is on pumpkins. I know there are alot of things I did wrong this year but I didn't really think much when I did it. I just wanted to plant something. Next year will look alot better. I hope you learn as much as I did.
Runners and Side Shoots
Runners, or secondary vines, will proliferate all along the main vine. These should be encouraged. But, you also should manage their growth. Along with proper pruning, you should train the vines to grow out and away from the main vine. Also train them away from the fruit. You do not want the fruit to grow over the runners and cut them off. You also want to be able to get to the fruit to take growth measures, make slight adjustments to position to avoid stem stress, and spray for insects as need be.
Train them straight out from the vine or curl them around obstacles. Avoid crossing the runners as this creates overcrowding and allows for better access to the plant for maintenance.
Tertiary vines are off the secondary vines. We recommend pruning these. to promote growth to the fruit, versus plant growth.
Secondary Roots
Secondary roots potentially can develop on the vine at the base of each leaf stem . Encourage this as much as possible. The secondary roots can add enormous weight to your fruit. A second benefit of secondary roots is that it anchors the plant in the ground along the entire vine system and allows the plant to better withstand windstorms. Keep secondary roots from growing only near your fruit, as this causes the vine to be anchored to the ground and unable to move with the growth of your fruit. This can cause stem stress.
Pruning
You want your plant to develop a strong support system for the best growth of your fruit. At the same time you do not want them to grow rampant all over your field or lawn. And, you do not want them to overlap each other to any major extent. Proper spacing of the plants is the first step in this process. Training the vines to grow in the direction you intend for it is another. After they grow you will want to prune the vines to stop their growth at a certain point. Not only will pruning allow better management of your crop, but it will also encourage the plant to devote it's energies towards fruit growth.
Main vines should be pruned when it reaches ten to fifteen feet beyond the last fruit you are leaving on the plant.
Secondary vines(or runners) should be trimmed when they reach ten to twelve feet from the main vine.
Trimming a vine is simple. Cut the vine at the end and bury the end by placing a shovelful or two of soil over the cut end. Burying the vine is recommended, but not essential. It will minimize moisture loss while the cut is fresh and minimize the possibility of disease entering through the wound.
After pruning the vines, you will likely experience a proliferation of new vines. There will be new runners off the main vine and new runners on the runners. This is the same as when you trim a bush or hedge row. The result is a bushier , healthier plant. Pruning is good for any and all plants. In the case of pumpkins continue to pinch off any new growth beyond the limits recommended above, although I will allow some small additional growth largely because it is almost impossible to keep up. After a while, the plant will turn it's energy towards fruit growth. A little extra potassium and a little less nitrogen will further encourage the fruit growth as opposed to vine and leaf growth.
If you don't trim the vines, you have not harmed the overall health of your plant. But, you are not doing anything to enhance fruit growth which after all is the endgame. In addition, your patch will look unruly which may or may not bother you.....your call. I once let a giant pumpkin vine grow as long as it could just to experiment and to see how long it could grow. I gave up at thirty feet. What I found was the end of the vine was being starved. It's support system could not keep up and the fruit on it at ten feet was sucking up most of the nutrients. I am sure if I had no fruit on the vine and had more actively pursued secondary root growth, I could have coaxed it much further. Sanity finally returned and I terminated the end to force the plant's energy to the fruit. If anyone knows the record length for a vine, please let me know.
For more information, see Pruning Rules for Giant Pumpkin Growing which contains some great pruning methods from well know giant pumpkin growers.
Covering Vines with Soil
Yes, cover your vines with soil. This will promote secondary root growth if you leave the soil moist. Covering the vines can also cut down on th insect damage. The disadvantage to this method is you do not know what is going on below the surface. But, the advantage far exceeds the risk.
Some growers recommend soil from the surrounding area. When I have the time, I like to mix well composted materials, including my favorite "black gold" (leaf mulch from our town's recycling center) and some garden soil. Bottom line here is every grower had their own formula.
This is one of the more time consuming activities and definitely little fun. But, the payback in secondary root growth and therefore bigger pumpkins is well worth the effort.
Disease and Pests
Your vine does have at least one mortal enemy. The dreaded(and I am serious) Vine Borer is perhaps the biggest worry to pumpkin growers and can end a promising season in a real hurry. For information on this and other insects surf on over to Those Pesky Bugs.
The vine of a pumpkin plant are not susceptible to many diseases. The leaves however are far more susceptible. Any diseases that can harm the vine part of the plant will destroy the leaves first. Plant disease information can be found at Diseases and Bacterias.

Gardening day!

Alright since I have a garden. Well sort of I thought that I would share the things I am learning. Since I just thought that you plant and water. Apparently there is more to it. So here is what I learned today. I was going to do this once a week so by next year I can be on top of things and we can know exactly what we want to do with our small area. So here is what I learned about planting tomatos. I copy and pasted this from another site. I can't remember what one though sorry. Just know that I didn't write this.
Growing Healthy Tomatoes
If you've ever bitten into a big, red, juicy slice of homegrown tomato, you've enjoyed the best of gardening. There's nothing else quite like it. Even so, some would-be gardeners think it's too difficult to grow tomatoes. In fact, growing your very own tomatoes is easy, if you follow a few steps.

Project Steps
Start from Seed
Maybe you want to get a jump on the growing season. Or maybe you want varieties that you can't find at the gardening center. Those are good reasons to grow your tomatoes from seed. Doing so gives you more control, and usually a healthier crop.
Plant
Tomatoes have fun in the sun, but fade in the shade. The more sun, the better. When it's time to put them in the ground, mix in a big helping of high-quality garden soil, such as Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil for Flowers and Vegetables. Tomatoes need elbow room, so plant them about two feet apart. Since they'll grow fast, put in stakes or cages at this stage.
Water and Feed
Tomatoes are extra thirsty during the first few weeks in the soil. You'll want to water them every day. After they're established, be sure to feed and water your plants regularly. You can do both at the same time with Miracle-Gro® Liquafeed® Feeder, or Miracle-Gro® Watering Can Singles.
Picking Your Tomatoes
Some people think you should pick tomatoes off the vine when they're dark red. Not so. If you pick them while they're pink, the vine can pass nourishment on to younger tomatoes. The ones you picked will ripen just as deliciously indoors.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

Miracle-Gro® LiquaFeed® Ready-To-Use Plant Feeder
Miracle-Gro® Garden Soil for Flowers & Vegetables
Soil
Tomato plants or seeds
Hand shovel
Plant food
Water

How to Keep Your Tomato Plants Healthy

Don't forget to water regularly to keep the soil from drying out. Tomatoes love water, and one of the biggest reasons for decline in tomato plants is lack of moisture. You'll be amazed at how your plants respond to plant food, so feed them regularly, too. If some branches grow near or on the ground, snip them off to prevent disease. Also, quickly remove any tomatoes attacked by bugs or worms. You don't want to encourage them.

Ok so I got this from a miricale grow site. That is why it says you need it. What I learned:
--I didn't know that planting from a seed could mean a healthier crop. I will have to try this next year.
--I knew they needed cages or stakes but forgot haha
--water them every day at first. Ooops that is probably why they are a little yellow. that and the cold. I'd better go water them now.
--feed? I didn't know plants ate anything but water. well and the minerals from the soil.
--I like the idea of pruning the stems that are near the ground.'
--oh man and bugs. Im sure I will have to learn more about taking care of those. For now we are fine.
Next time I hope to have an article on pumkins. I have a TON of those and have no idea how to take care of them. Maybe Jordan can tell you what he has learned about his peppers. Oh and I learned that marigolds are good to plant in your garden cause they help keeps the bugs away. Obviously not in this article.

I was going to go to JcPenny but I was told they only let you pic one pose. Well if you want to get there special and not spend fifty million dollars. It was a blast though. It took like a million shot to get his has to stay back in the ones he is laying on his side. We took him to the dr on wednesday and he is doing great. 14lbs 11 oz. 24 3/4in tall. and in the 74% for his head size. I think it was 17 in. We are going to start him on yellow veggies this week and probably keep him on them for the rest of this month and some. The Dr asked me if we had been feeding him any solids. I told him my mom has been feeding him a lot of stuff. He said I should has her to stop. I said you don't know my mom. hehehe. I love you mom and pj loves that you spoil him. Grrrrrrr Haylee!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ok so Haylee tagged me and I really don't do these things but I didn't have anything to blog about at the time that I started this project so here it goes! Five facts about myself!
1. I can't whistle. Nope I really can't and I hate that I can't but what ever who needs to whistle when you can yell.

2. I still get anxiety when ever I think about diving. Crazy I know since I am certified and all. I actually quit after like the first day of lessons. But then like a month later I decided I just needed to face my fears so I spent like another month preparing myself to do it. At night, (ok this may sound really dumb but it worked.) every night before I went to bed I would visualize clearing my mask (fill it up with water and then blow it out. This was scary cause having contacts I had to close my eyes) So I would do this every night and when it came time to do it I actually did it the first try. But yes I still get anxiety. I think its cause it has been so long. Once I got under the water and did what I needed to do it was TOTALLY awesome. Everyone should do it. Hey if my mom can do it any one can. She is REALLY scared of water. She was a lot braver than I was.

3. I want to own a saturn vue. The green line. Its a hybrid for any one who doesn't know what green means. Hehehe. I love saturns I have ever since I bought my first sl2. Ya the ion may have had problems but it was fun to drive. I even got used to all the stuff being off to the side.

4. I love to run. I haven't been good at doing it for over a year but it is the best feeling ever! After you get past the first two miles it is so AMAZING! I looked a bit like Homer when I first started but it got alot easier and then I stopped. Why?

5. I love my husband and son soooo very much. Just over a year ago I didn't even know what my life would be like. I thought I would still be single. But they both came into my life and I am so very thankful for that. LOVE YA!!!!
Since I don't believe in this tag game I won't tag any one cause well that just SUCKS. BUT I will tag Haylee and ask her to give 6 fun facts about all the people she tagged. Not what we wrote. hahaha have fun with that one Haylee $.
