Safety Help?!?!

Ok now that Pj is going EVERY WHERE and getting into EVERY THING I have realized that I need to child proof my home, and I need your help. Here are some things Ive learned and a few questions about them.
-He loves to play with the little door stop things, but the rubber ends come off and that is a choking hazard (found him with it in his mouth, I didn't know they came off) So can I just super glue it back on or are there ones with out them that I should buy? What would you do?
-Table cloths- I have a halloween one on our table now and its a bit to long. How can I get it upp to where he cant reach it and pull everything off the table on top of him?
-Cords-He finds them where ever they are? HELP!!!!!
Any other things that you moms or dads have come across. Thanks for all you help in advance.

Baby proofing is rough, because you're always doing it. They always find one new thing that they are getting into as they learn & develop.

Here are some things I've done:

-Electrical outlet covers
-You could just hem the table cloth, or get some "Stitch Witchery", which is basically bonding tape, so you can hem it w/out a sewing machine.
-They have cord covers @ Ikea, or even just ones that bind them together. You could also put things in the way of the cords.

It might even be time to start "disciplining" him, where if he touches something that is totally off limits, cords, etc., then he goes into a "time out" place. He may not understand what's going on, but after you do it a few times he starts to understand that if he touches x he gets to go to the time out spot. It might work for a few weeks. lol.

Cupboards & drawers will probably be next. They have awesome things in the kids aisles for babyproofing, even toilet lid catchers so they can't lift up the toilet lid. You'll also probably want to look for stuff he can pull himself up on, things that can fall down easily on top of him. Our DVD's & books all had to go once Locke could pull himself up near them, because he'd just pull them on top of himself.

I would vacuum 2-3x a day sometimes, because he'd always find something to put in his mouth. I think having one "safe" area/room where he's free to roam around in is good, but I think the most important thing is to know where he is/what he's doing at all times. There will always be something he'll want to put in his mouth, and it's just a matter of catching it before he does anything worse with it.

Good luck!

Oh wow! Well, I'm not an expert on this because even though I have dozens of kids running through my house on any given day . . . it's not the safest place on earth. I abandoned tablecloths, although if you buy a piece of plexi-glass the same size as your table and put it over your cloth then he can't pull it off and you can wipe the table down 165 times a day without having to wash the tablecloth. I have tried to cover cords with packing tape - it's clear and they can't get their little fingers under it to pull it off (although it kills your paint). The door stoppers in our house are all gone (probably eaten) and the walls have holes in them, but I'll live. Good luck!

I just taped my table cloth ends under with tape. It worked pretty good until he could reach it. For the cords I usually blocked them, taped them or took them away completely depending on what it was. Kitchen cupboards will be next. I child proofed with little locks but I left my tupper-ware and pan cupboard open so he could still be curious. Good luck.
