Well we made it home from the hospital. I am posting this early in the morning cause my daughter is amazing. She let me sleep for three hrs and then wanted some food. She has been awake and just laying on the ground ever since. And since I am awake now I might as well update you on our little adventures.
As you all know we had a csection scheduled for Aug 6th at 7:15am! Well I guess she didn't like that date and time so she made her appearance early. My water broke at 2:30am on tuesday Aug 4th! Or did it? That was the debate that was running thru my mind. And then it was "should I wake up Jordan?" Well I didn't have to wake him up, cause I started shaking at the thought we could be having our baby early and he asked me what was wrong. He was nice enough to make a phone call to his brother and his wife to come watch Pj. (thank you lisa and derek)
We weren't in the hospital long before we found out my water actually HAD broke! And that we weren't leaving the hospital that day. We then had a decision to make. Try for a VBAC or go for the csection? After a little debate and a convo with my mother we decided for the csection. A decision I will never regret making. By the time we were headed back to be prepped for the csection I could barely even feel any contractions.
I must say I didn't really like getting the spinal. It was a bit more painful than I remember the epidural. However it was VERY effective and I actually got to be awake for her birth. I won't go into all the goury(sp?) details. Like how SICK I was for a few hrs after. She was born at 7:04am Aug 4th. 7lbs and 20in long! Just 7oz smaller than her older brother was.
Jordan got to go snuggle and play with Paisley while they stitched me up. To be honest I tried to sleep and relax while Dr Young talked to whoever was in there about the history of csections.
I didn't get to hold Paisley for a while after getting to our room. (Those are goury details, just ask Jordan and any one else that was in the room at the time) And she cried quite a bit til I was able to feed her. She hasn't cried much since. Its such a wonderful, amazing feeling to hold your child in your arms for the first time. Just to have it cut short by a bought of throwing up. hehehe I would say she looks alot like me when I was a baby. Only time will tell what she will look like. She does look alot like Pj when he was first born too though. And we ALL know who he looks like now!
It really SUCKED the next day to find out Jordan had Hand, Foot and Mouth desease. I think thats what its called and I really don't know or understand what it was. All I know is he wasn't allowed back into the hospital and it REALLY sucked for all of us. Thankfully I have a wonderful sister who came to visit EVERY day. And a great sister in law who brought me all the stuff Jordan was going too. (stuff that didn't get packed cause well I was suppose to have 2 more days to get that done. Yes Im a procratinator (sp?)) Oh and a wonderful mother who I don't know what I would do with out her. She has done so much for us it would take all night to list it all. Thankfully Jordan was just a phone call away and I could talk to him that way. I missed him sooo much and am so glad I get to see him now.
So after three long days in the hospital we are finally home. My mom came to pick us up this afternoon. I hadn't seen Pj in a couple days so of course I cried when I saw him. He looked like he grew a couple inchs. And he had a really cute new outfit on. I came home to a nice clean house. (thank you sooo much jordan, and I think my mom did some too) We just relaxed until Jordan got home from work. I wanted to cry when he got home too, but we had a few visitors so I held my tears.
Paisley is a really great baby she doesn't cry much at all, and well now that I've said it Im sure she will prove me wrong. She actually has been very content while I sit here and update all my internet stuff. And hopefully when Im done she will fall right to sleep.
Thank you to all that came and visited in the hospital and has helped us out. And a HUGE thank you to my mom. How drove up here at 4am to see the birth, then took my crazy toddler for three days and then drove back up here to pick us up from the hospital. Who has helped out in so many other ways! You really are great. We can't wait to see you and Jake on monday. OH and drive safely!
Thank you to Sara who's taken a TON of pix, visited me when im bored. Brought me food, and kept everyone updated.
Thank you Kara for bringing me all the stuff and for the flowers.
Thank you Derek and Lisa for getting up so early in the morning to watch Pj for us.
Thank you to everyone else who visited, and to all those who will visit.
Paisley is asleep now so I think I should be too.
