TIme out!

"Parker you can not hit your sister or climb over the top of her, go to time out"
Usually he goes right there but recently he has become more defiant and I find my self using treatment words. I can't even remember what I said to him but I KNEW the min I said it I work to much and he wouuld never understand it!
This particular day he decided he would just chill out in Time Out!
Of course I had a hard time not laughing.
So we have been putting pj in time out for a while. One day I did it because he was hitting and fighting me cause he didn't want to get out of the car. It was all I could think of short of spanking him. (which sometimes he does get a spanking, not cause I think its the best idea I just loose my patience) And to my suprise he stayed. So we have been doing time out ever since.
A little back ground to the time out. I remember before Jordan and I got married we would play a little game. One would ask a question and we had to honestly answer it. So the question came up how we believed we should disipline kids. We were both on the same page. Spanking was the way to do it. I mean that is how we were both raised and we turned out great (didn't we?) Now that we have our kids, our decision has changed. Not because we have anything against the way we were raised. We just came to the conclusion if we want to teach them not to hit, is it really a good idea to hit them? Probably not! So time out it was! And I feel its working very well. He knows that he needs to go directly to time out if he hits or we tell him to. And he knows that after he has to say sorry and we all get loves.
Sometimes he makes it very hard for me to stay serious. Usually its a fit but recently, Pai seems to sit there and taunt him and he just screams at here. (see next post) My favorite thing about this video is he looks over at me to see if Im looking before he goes on the touch Pai with his foot. And as seen in the previous photos I mean how can you stay serious when you see that?
Hope you enjoyed our time out pix and video!
